About this directory

What this directory is

SG Aircon Guide is an independent directory covering 600 air conditioning contractor businesses across Singapore. It exists for homeowners, tenants, and property managers who need to find a contractor for servicing, repair, or a new install and want a straightforward way to compare who actually does good work in their part of the island, from Woodlands to Tampines to the central core.

We are also honest about the other half of what we do. SG Aircon Guide is an independent directory and comparison resource, and we also generate enquiries for local providers: when you ask to be matched with someone, we pass your enquiry to providers relevant to your request, and we may receive a referral fee for that introduction. Referral arrangements never affect scores or earned rankings. The quote page spells this out again at the point you submit a request, so there is no surprise buried in fine print.

Where the listing data comes from

Each listing is built from public business information (registration details, service areas, contact details) combined with a synthesis of recent Google reviews. We do not copy or republish review text. Instead we summarise the patterns we see, whether that’s typical response times, workmanship on multi-split systems, or how a company handles warranty callbacks, and we link out to the business’s Google listing so you can read the original reviews yourself.

How rankings work

Rankings are earned, not bought. They come from a published rubric applied consistently to the public data and review signals we collect, and you can read exactly how that scoring works on our /methodology/ page. No business can pay to move up the list, and no business can pay to have a bad pattern erased.

A listed business can ask us to correct factual details, such as an address, phone number, service area, or opening hours, and we welcome that because accurate contact details matter to readers. What a business cannot do is edit its own score, sentiment summary, or ranking position. Those stay tied to the rubric and the data, not to the preferences of the business being ranked.

Sponsorship, clearly separated

Some pages include sponsored placements. These are always labelled “Sponsored” and shown in a separate section from the earned ranking, never blended into it. Paying for a sponsored spot does not change a business’s score or its position in the ranked list.

Who is behind it

SG Aircon Guide is published by SG Heartland Guides, founded in 2026 to build independent home services directories across Singapore, starting with air conditioning contractors. Editorial oversight of the rankings sits with Jacky Lee, Editor. Listing data is refreshed on a monthly cycle, and each listing carries a “last verified” stamp so you can see when it was last checked rather than take freshness on faith.

You can find out more about the publisher at sgheartlandguides.com, or reach the team directly at hello@sgheartlandguides.com with corrections, questions, or feedback on a listing.

Why monthly checks matter

Aircon contractors open branches, close down, change phone numbers, and shift service areas more often than you’d expect. A monthly refresh cycle means the directory doesn’t quietly go stale. If you spot something that looks outdated on a listing, tell us and we will check it.

FAQ

Does paying for a sponsored listing improve a business's ranking?
No. Sponsored placements are labelled clearly and shown separately from the earned ranking. Payment never changes a score or position.
Can a business change its own score or reviews summary?
No. A business can correct factual details like its address or phone number, but the score, sentiment summary, and ranking come only from the published rubric and the data.
How often is listing data updated?
The directory runs on a monthly refresh cycle, and each listing shows a last verified date so you can see when it was last checked.
What happens when I ask to be matched with a contractor?
We pass your enquiry to providers relevant to your request and may earn a referral fee for that introduction. This never affects any business's earned ranking.
Who maintains the rankings?
Jacky Lee, Editor, oversees the rankings on behalf of the publisher, SG Heartland Guides.
